CEO/Sr. Technician of Truss Medical, Melvin Truss II (also known as “Truss Jr.”) has worked as a competent and highly skilled technician for several repair companies throughout his 10 year stint. He has loyally served his customers with dignity, integrity, and excellence in repairing everything from replacing casters on the O.R. equipment and welding case carts to cleaning the chambers of sterilizers and autoclaves. Melvin Jr. also has electrical system repair skills that he enhances with his current employment with an industry leading airline. He is also a highly decorated veteran with the United States Air Force to which he has received his Associates Degree in Avionic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.


The President of Truss Medical, Mr. Melvin Truss Sr., although he does not have any direct experience within the medical industry, he comes to the industry with an excellent repertoire of skills in inventory and logistics that he gained from his 33 years with General Motors. He also has gained valuable experience within the transportation industry and labor relations.


Administrative Director of Truss Medical, Operations and Logistics, Mrs. Erika Truss has over 15 years of Educational Leadership with the Dekalb County Public School System in Decatur, Georgia. She currently teaches 5th grade Math at one of the schools within the school system. Mrs. Truss received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Georgia Southern University and her Master’s Degree in Leadership & Supervision from the University of Phoenix.
